SPECIAL PACKAGES TO AMAZIAN MOUNTAIN RIVER LODGE

DAY 1: Fly with any airline to the new King Tjaka International Airport in Durban. Pick up your air-conditioned car and GPS and drive to Amazian Mountain River Lodge. Book your flight to arrive in Durban before 13h00.

Arrive at Amazian Mountain River Lodge where Brett and Trudie will meet you with a welcoming drink. Relax for the rest of the day around the pool or simply in your luxury room. Enjoy the views and do some bird viewing before dinner.
Dinner will be served at 19h00 and it will certainly be a very special occasion. Trudie can’t wait to spoil you with her cuisine and hospitality. Relax in our bar after dinner before retiring to your room for a romantic night. Enjoy the spa bath in your room or help yourself to some refreshments from the mini-bar.

DAY 2: Today will be a relaxing day at the Amazian Mountain River Lodge. After breakfast you can perhaps quiet your mind by going for a beautiful scenic walk to the gorge or go for a romantic quad bike picnic.

This afternoon you can choose between any of our activities - From rafting in the river, trout fishing or horse riding to a de-stress aromatherapy, hot stone or crystal stone massage treatment, and even a work out session in our open air gym. If you simply want to lounge at our pool or detox in our steam room it is perfectly fine with us.

Tonight will be another fabulous dinner and after the dinner you can choose to do any of the activities which are available during the evenings.

DAY 3:  After a refreshing breakfast you will depart in a 4x4 vehicle for your Sani Pass adventure. The mountain pass is really steep and the road bad. You need a good 4x4 with low range gears to make it to the top of the pass, but the reward is enormous. The views from the mountain are, at the very least, breathtaking and the drive up the mountain is a true adventure.

After some border formalities you will be in Lesotho where you will first visit a local tribe to see and to experience how these mountain people live and survive, before you will go to Africa’s Highest Pub to enjoy lunch and some other refreshments. Then you will return back into South Africa and down the mountain pass. Be on the look out for eland and other mountain animals as well as the many birds which have adapted to the high altitudes of the Drakensberg.

Tonight will be your farewell dinner and another very special occasion. Relax at our lodge and simply enjoy the hospitality.

DAY 4: You must return your vehicle to the King Tshaka Airport at Durban, but before you depart you are in for another very special breakfast. Saying goodbye to new friends and departing from Amazian Mountain River Lodge promises to be the hardest part of your stay.
